Okaeri is leap years ahead of Okawari. It’s like Toei Clannad vs KyoAni Clannad.

It’s sad that the animation quality is so horrible though.

Even though Okaeri isn’t as good as the 1st season, it’s still better in terms of humor than Okawari. Fuyuki and the blacked out people are gone and the Minami brothers are back. Mako-chan hasn’t appeared yet, but Hosaka is back in prime condition as the Curry Fairy.

The only big problem is the inconsistency in the art quality even though it does somewhat resemble the manga’s art.

Okawari was already such a massive letdown, I don’t know why they chose to keep awful Asread. Doumu was so much superior in the first series… What a shame.
One thing for sure, this ain’t getting me watching Minamike yet (nor Okawari for that matter, I dropped it after the first ten minutes of the first episode).

Yep, as House said it’s still by Asread. The big difference between Okaeri and Okawari is that they have different directors.

What are you talking about? Okaeri is being produced by Asread, the same folks behind Okawari. Doumu only did the first season.
