Its orange season, and Chiaki is lovin’ it. For some reason, I haven’t eaten oranges in a long while. Maybe its because I developed a subconscious phobia of it after listening to Toradora’s orange ending? Masaka ne. For some reason I felt quite good after watching this episode. In anticipation of Minamike Okaeri, I went off and got Minamike for a marathon. I was advised by other well-intended bloggers to avoid Minamike Okawari, so I decided to skip it. After watching episodes 1 to 4 of it, it seems clear to me now why there has been an explosion of Nogizaka posts across the blogosphere. Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu depicts a world where otakus are made fun of and jeered at in general societies such as school. The main protagonists, Nogizaka Haruka and Ayase Yuuko, two highschool students live in such a world, and as a result of relationships and plain old clumsiness, fall victim to the anti-Otaku society that they live in. I’m not a resident of Japan so I’m not sure if the situation is that extreme there, I certainly hope not. Alright, time for the Nogizaka Haruka jump-in-and-join-the-fun-superpost. Warning: This post is long and filled with spoilers
