The opening of this show looks like a sports drink commercial. Why did you do this to us Kyoto Animation? This seems to represent a new attempt at luring a demographic that’s completely alien to anime. As usual however, the stunning visuals and incredible graphics that have been hallmarks of Kyoani for the past decade haven’t gone elsewhere yet, and the show is actually surprisingly fun to watch. I’m late to the show, but this show’s pretty awesome. It’s about the lives of a boy who’s struggling to let go of his past, except a ghost continues to haunt him about it. It’s actually pretty decent and touches on some very interesting bits of how people feel about their childhood, nostalgia and past lives. Continue reading »

And I am liking it so much. Well, minus the ink splattered on vital body parts. The nice gritty feel and thick outlines give nice impact to a bunch of moe girls engaged in mortal combat. I like this a lot. Continue reading »

Gainax is making some weird ass shit this season. But fortunately its actually some very nice weird ass shit, and so obviously meant to be put on Cartoon Network at 1 a.m. This show is perhaps The kind of show that comes out when you remove all the ethical blocks and stoppers from a cartoon and just go all out toilet funny.

Thursday was such a wet and gloomy day, but despite that, we decided to go all out and visit the Tsukiji Fish Market anyway. But we failed and woke up at 5 a.m. and missed the fish auction.

When characters in a story develop, its just like getting to know a friend a little more. This usually results in the friendly types more dear, the gar types more likeable, and the twintails more moe. Her story is one that I can relate too, well, its not like its exactly the same story or anything… but it touched me pretty deep inside.

One of those things I love about Seitokai is that it is powered by so much moe and so much wtf, one cannot help but wonder if one will survive the 30 minutes of watching all this flood your head with 99.99% pure nonsense.

I must say this is one of the nicer fairytales I have watched lately. Even stranger is that it’s not from Disney! It’s about a world which doesn’t have a sun, and most of the places unpopulated by humans are infested by enormous and deadly monsters called Gaichuu or Dangerous Insects.

And the title reminds me of K-ON. Its apparently a harem anime about a bunch of girls fighting for an as of yet undisclosed reason (though I’m sure said reason must be a really good one >.>) Though, I only watch anime for the pretty girls who aren’t shameless bitches and who actually talk softly.
